After being abandoned in the wild by the Sharps to steal her luck, Marlene Sharp was taken in by Michael the Whole of the Magic Academy. Years later, having mastered the mystical arts, she left the academy to fulfill her destiny: to find her fated one, Shane James, and marry him as part of her Trial. At that time, Shane was gravely ill and on the verge of being overthrown by his younger brother, Chase. In a critical moment, Marlene appeared and married Shane in a flash wedding, using her powers to dispel the evil spirit threatening his life. Only then was the crisis temporarily resolved.
